Written in urgency and published in Cologne in July 2024, "Kein Land in Sicht?" (lit. “No Land in Sight?”) aimed to give a platform to voices other than those—always the same ones—that were presenting a completely one-sided account of events in the German media. The book by Johannes Zang, who knows the region intimately having lived on both sides of the border, is finally being published in French. Even though the situation has since worsened dramatically, these 130 short chapters remain just as relevant. They are accompanied by a chronology and an annotated bibliography, updated through April 2026—30 months after the outbreak of a “conflict” that has since openly become a war of extermination.
